The new LXD 55/75 install kit uses a reverse mounting aluminum curve adapter that bolts from the inside of the scopes OTA. It uses the scopes existing bolt holes making it easy to install. However it does require removing the corrector, but it is only takes a few minutes to remove the 4 allen bolts holding the corrector on the OTA. Once the new curve plate is installed from the bottom, then the included spacers are stacked on the curve adapter and long bolts are inserted through the focuser's mounting holes, through the spacers and thread into tapped holes located
in the new curve adapter. Tighten the new focuser up and reconnect the corrector plate. A 1 1/2" Extender draw tube tube is included in the install kit for Visual mode. However the extender draw tube can be removed to lower focus when doing prime focus photography or when using a bino-viewer.
